"My personal karate has become the guiding force of my lifestyle. Just about everything I do is based somewhere on the code of bushido, and karate-do. As far as the actual application of karate, I relate it to a computer. By constantly training, practicing, and learning different techniques of defenses and attacks, you are programming your hard drive with the answers to just about every fighting question that may come up. I never pre-think a movement, I merely turn on my alert mode and respond to whatever action occurs. Even when I am demonstrating an attack or defense, I just do it, not plan it. Except, of course, when I am teaching a particular technique."
